The Remission Film Festival is the only festival of its kind focusing on creators who have been impacted by cancer either first hand, or have been touched by it in some way.
Premiering in 2026 as a fundraiser for Blood Cancer United Visionaries of the Year, RFF continues as an annual festival and fundraiser for cancer organizations.
Currently seeking cancer centered organizations for 2027.
Edward Miskie, the cancer survivor behind the festival, is a 13 year rare Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor, and author of the book 'Cancer, Musical Theatre, & Other Chronic Illnesses. Over the last 13 years, Edward has been a vocal advocate for cancer survivors in their journey out of the hospital and back into 'normal' life - whatever that means.
